The group of imidazolinones belongs to highly active and selective herbicides. They are used for cleaning heavily weedy rapeseed, sunflower, pea, soybean, non-agricultural land. The use of the herbicide "Grader" from the "August" company helps farmers in growing forage crops, increasing yields, as well as preparing sites for construction.

Composition and form of release of herbicide "Grader"

A super-powerful continuous-action herbicide is able to cope with annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, which cover non-agricultural areas. The preparation is used in the fields where the hybrids of rapeseed, sunflower, pea varieties resistant to imidazolinones are grown.

The herbicide formulation is a ready-to-use aqueous solution of imisapir. A liter contains 250 grams of the substance. The ready-made working solution of the herbicide is poured into bottles with a volume of 1 liter, cans - 10 liters.

Advantages and disadvantages

The drug has many advantages. It is noted that the herbicide "Grader":

  • destroys all types of weeds, unwanted shrubs, woody growth;
  • acts systemically, penetrating into the plant;
  • stays in the soil, stopping the development of young weeds;
  • protects the treated area from contamination throughout the year;
  • is not washed off by rain;
  • has an average toxicity in relation to humans, bees.

The aqueous solution works effectively at any stage of plant development, regardless of their pollution.

The disadvantages of the drug include the fact that it can destroy cultural crops located near the processing site.

Mechanism and speed of action

The action of the active substance imazapyr begins with a stop in the growth of grasses and shrubs on the treated area 7 days after spraying. After 30-45 days, everything that grew on the field dies. Therefore, spraying of herbicide is used to cleanse areas overgrown with weeds and shrubs near highways, railway tracks, and runways. With the help of an aqueous solution, areas for the construction of houses, gas pipelines, power lines are freed from weeds. Rapeseed and sunflower fields can be treated with this herbicide when drug-resistant hybrids are planted.

No vegetation will appear on the site for 3-5 years after spraying.

Consumption calculation

For non-agricultural land, 2 to 5 liters of an aqueous solution are used per hectare of area. They are processed from April to September.

The destruction of annual cereal and dicotyledonous weeds should be carried out in the phase of 2-4 leaves.

At the same time, sunflower and rapeseed should have up to 5 true leaves. Only 0.12 liters of herbicide solution will be needed per hectare of field.

How to prepare a working solution

The working fluid is prepared in a special spray tank. First, the container is filled with clean water by a third. Then carefully add the required amount of an aqueous solution of the agrochemical. Stir thoroughly, topping up to the full volume of the tank.

Liquid must not be prepared in advance, only immediately prior to spraying.

How to use the product

The toxic substance requires that the instructions for use be studied before spraying it on wastelands or fields with forage crops.

Processing is carried out mechanically in compliance with safety rules. It is best to spray the area in the early morning or after sunset. The weather should be calm and calm.

Safety in use

There are restrictions on the use of the herbicide. Be sure to take into account the location of the site for processing. It should be located 1.5-3 kilometers from water basins, parks, forest plantations, fields with grain crops, apiaries. It is necessary to control the departure of bees to the treated areas. There should not be pastures for cattle, private gardens, orchards, recreation centers nearby.

Phytotoxicity and the possibility of emergence of resistance

The Grader herbicide has been assigned the 3rd toxicity class for humans and bees. The drug is not considered dangerous for microorganisms, worms that live in the soil.

The chemical is toxic to rodents and harmful insects.

Weeds do not become addictive to the drug for a long time. In the treated area, vegetation will take a long time to recover.

Compatibility with other herbicides

Agrochemical "Grader" is suitable for tank mixes. Check compatibility with other drugs before use. If there is no sediment, then you can safely use the combination of "Grader" with "Tornado", "Magnum". The effectiveness of the agent increases if you combine the herbicide with drugs such as 2,4D, metsulfuronic agents.

Storage rules and periods

The container with the herbicide solution must be tightly sealed. Storage is carried out in specially designed premises, inaccessible to children and animals. The room must be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment. The premises are cleaned at least once a month using disinfectants such as bleach. Store the drug for no more than 3 years.

Analogs of the remedy

Imidazolinones are used to produce drugs Imperial, Arbonal, Arsenal. They act similarly to the herbicide "Grader", they clear large areas from continuous weeds.
